  • Multiple custom particles in Particular?

Posted by Ryan Perera on November 6, 2007 at 5:28 pm

I have a client that wants a bunch of pictures to fly towards the screen as a background artifact. I assume I could do this with particular but I couldn’t seem to find an option or a route on taking to get this scene right.

Is there a way to use multiple custom particles in particular?
Is there an easier way on doing this? (other then particular)

NOTE: I only need the pictures to shoot at the screen only once or twice and there are about 100 of them.

    Thanks in advanced,
    ry

what you can do is line up your pictures as single frame images and have them all aligned back to back (if you have 100 picture this would be a 100 frame long com) you can than pre comp or preferably pre render this out, bring it back in drop it in your time line, and turn it off/shy it if you like. Than apply particular to your null or solid or what have you. twirl down your particle controls, select custom for particle type, and twirl down the custom settings (should do this automaticly) select your footage as the layer. use time sampling random-still frame.

Adjust your life, and particles per second to fit your needs as well as tweaking any other settings you may want
