Ron,
I have used both and both of them are quite equivalent to each other. However, Procoder is definitely superior to Squeeze when it comes down to MPEG encoding. Sounds like a good topic for a review, eh?PS: Procoder has a dongle, something which I HATE (I only have 6 USB ports and I need them for my external drives and hence no Procoder on my main system)

Oh! The dreaded unknown error. I spent an entire weekend solving the error for a client of mine (which ended up taking over 20 hours to solve). Try this:
1. Close Premiere Pro.
2. Download and install this codec.
3. Open your Premiere Pro project.
4. File > Export > Export to Movie
5. Select ‘Settings’.
6. Follow this short demo that I created: https://asvideoproductions.com/stuff/Huff_Demo/Huff_Demo.html

Are you using extremely bright/sharp colors? If so, that may be causing the fringing. Try applying the gaussian blur filter with a value of .5 to see if it eliminates the problem.

I usually make sure that the cut is locked down, before color correcting the footage. Good question regarding the automatic update. I have the production studio installed, so it does update it automatically, but if you want I can try it out on my system that is still running the older video collection.

If I understand this correctly, this would require a lot of After Effects and Photoshop work. Do you have a sample of the effect you are trying to accomplish? If so, we can create a step-by-step guide.

I don’t know how you have worked out the deal with the school, but in the past I have done a few of these any my pricing structure is:
1. Charge $40 per disc for the first 49 copies and out of that offer $5 per disc to the school, so that they encourage selling the DVDs.
2. If the quantity is between 50 and 449, then the price is still $49, but we offer the school an extra $1
3. If the quantity is over 450, then we give them $7.Why? We get releases from every person involved with the person in ease. In fact, when the graduates sign some sort of graduation document (I forget the name), they include the image release with the other required documents. And the band plays the music, we are OK.
