I would go with 4 internal one for the system and three set up as a raid 0

the SATA raid will knock the socks off of any external FW drive

as far as size, that all depends on how nuch storage you want and can afford 4 500’s would be awsome.

One thing to knote is that you will need to take advantage of the FCP crossgrade soon so that you will have a version of FCP that will run on the MacPro (the intel processor needs the universal verson of FCP)

you should start creating a new folder for each project you are working on. eery time you move to a different project set your scrach disk to to folder for your current project. That way you never have to go searching around to figure what to keep and what not to keep, all you have to deo is delete the project folder that you want to get rid of (after it is masted of course)

I’m not 100% shure but that card may only support it from one of its two dvi ports.

Douse it do the same on both of the conections on the video card, try switching to the other DVI port.

That camera douse not have changable lenses so you would need a screw on attachment and I doubt that you will find one that will give you the amount of telephoto length you ar looking for.

A flash based solution would be the most universal and you said that that is what you are looking for.
