My Dual 2.5 G5 runs FCS 2 just fine. What video card do you have, that will make a big difference with motion & color?

[bondous] “i am director/editor for Boadcasting company and making only copyright stuff. “

If you have the copyright to the material then surly you have access to the original masters, not just the highly compressed versions on the web that were never meant for editing.

[bondous] “Is it posible that FCP 5.1 imports somehow the video settings automatically?”

Nope you must convert then all to the same format before you bring them into FCP.

But your post poses some bigger issues.

Why are you editing video from the web?
Is it stick video that you purchased?

Not only is any video on the web already highly compressed and vary undesirable to work with (you always wand to pull your footage from the highest quality source possible)

If the video was not purchased from a stock video site then legally you have no right to edit it because it douse not belong to you.

August 25, 2007 at 4:52 pm in reply to: capturing to FCP from a Sony DVD handycam

No version of FCP supports your type of camera, or capture through USB for that matter, FireWire only. The new FCP 6 douse not even support it.

You will have to pull the video off the disc and convert it with a program like mpegstreamclip.

There is no realtime capture for your camera.

[videovideo] “is it a bad idea to run computer with this little space on hd?”

YES you should always leave at least 10% free on ANY hard drive.

[videovideo] “how would I move applications to an external hd, is this what I should do?”

Its not the applications that take up the space it is all the additional content that gets installed with them.

Do a search on the forum about moving additional content to a different drive, this has been covered before.

First open Universal Access in System Preferences and make sure that the enhance contrast is set to normal. That can definitely make the colors look funky.

If it is not that take it in and have it looked at, it may not be the LCD it could be the video card built onto the main board sending out a bad signal.
