Ahhh, I now see “the knotch”. Gary, that’s very helpful and good to know.

And, I understand that in the Prefs one can set the default image length.

But, is there no way to simply enter an image “duration”, numerically–in its properties–and have it expand (or contract) to that size. I grew accustomed to that handy feature in Ulead MSP.

Well, except I need the 1920 x 1080 output size. I think that the only Vegas output option for this is the “HD 1080 60i YUV” uncompressed setting–which creates a huge file. Neo-HDV, I think, limits me to 1440pix.
