If I take multiple snapshots while I cut video vegas freeze after 10-20 min. If I just cut video without snapshots everything works fine.

    Hi Renato,

Can you post a screenshot of the specs of your source media (using the free Mediainfo application in text mode)? Your source media doesn’t happen to be ProRes is it?

Also, how many snapshots can you get before the crash?

Note: I think Vegas Pro likes .png still format better than .jpg (better quality), so if you are going to use these snapshots in a Vegas projects, you may want to change the ‘save format’ from .jpg to .png.

    Best Regards……George

I think not the video causing the crash because I work with many different types of video. From low-quality small resolution to high-quality high-resolution videos. Vegas always crashes.

Snapshot count is always different. 50-200
Elapsed time is different too. Sometimes Vegas crashes after 5 min, sometimes after 20

I try snapshot with png format.

[Renato Gyuris] “Snapshot count is always different. 50-200”

Ouch! And JPG? You’re not going to like this, but are all the JPGs of different resolutions too? Are you snapshotting from all sorts of Source Video too?

Look, something is definitely choking Vegas on load or during rendering. However, this indicates a level of Math manipulation that Vegas is having a difficulty in performing.
