July 26, 2018 at 7:32 amThe snapshot resolution is always the same as the video resolution.
I tried png. Vegas Crashes again.
Maybe the huge amounts of snapshot cause the problem.
I tried to close the “Project Media” tab but when I take a screenshot it opens again. -

On all the SSHOTS? But you SS from a variety Vid resolutions?
Hold on!? Are you trying to make an Image Sequence from taking SSs?

So, how many, and be specific here, Lower and higher resolutions do you have on a Timeline? And with what rapidity of changing? Something like this?
HHHLLHHLLHHHLLLLLHHHHHHHLLL

July 26, 2018 at 11:26 amFrom 50 to 200 snapshot.
I don’t know Timeline resolution. And I don’t know where can I find Timeline resolution.
“And with what rapidity of changing?” What?
What is HHLLHH…? -

H = High Resolution
L = Low ResolutionI was assuming that you have ONE JPG frame of, say, H or L followed by a mixed variations of H and L.

July 26, 2018 at 1:08 pmThe resolutions always the same as the source video resolution. If I work with 640×480 video the snapshots are 640×480 too.
If I start a new project and cut a new video 1280×720 the snapshot resolution is 1280×720 always. The snapshot resolution does not change in one project. -

July 26, 2018 at 1:50 pmI tried vegasaur, and it seems to work fine. Thanks for your help. I don’t know what is the problem with the original snapshot tool.

July 26, 2018 at 2:53 pmThe curiosity got to me, so I spent the time to blast 300 snapshots, no crash.
What does your Vegas do when it crashes? Does it freeze? Does it give a crash report?
What Operating System are you on (I may have missed this is your earlier replies)?
Best Regards……George

July 27, 2018 at 1:10 pmI took a screenshot of the crash and I posted it earlier. I have win 10 64 bit.
Crash does not happen if I just take the snapshots. I have to cut the video and move on the timeline create transitions while I take snapshots. I have to work with the video.
I created 300 snapshots with no crash when I just opened a video and took the snapshots without any other activity.
It’s like vegas goes crazy from lot actions and snapshots.
Lot action is ok for vegas (no crash).
Lot snapshot is ok for vegas (no crash)
Lot action and lot snapshot (crash)
