October 11, 2013 at 2:07 pmWait.
There’s a new MacPro?!
Well shiver me timbers, what a treat.
In all seriousness, they keep touting the support of “full resolution 4k video”.
How big is the new Cinema Display going to be? 🙂

Don’t ask Larry Jordan anything about 4K.
He’s hosting a seminar on the subject ‘4K & Final Cut Pro X’ on Nov 12th in Burbank
Can’t believe it’s not to do with the new MacPro and updated FCPX.

October 11, 2013 at 3:44 pmAbsolutely. If FCPX and the MacPro aren’t both released by then I’ll eat my hat or other available equivalent attire.
I’ll probably just ending up ordering mine thru the local Apple Store. I have a good relationship with the business reps there- and the standard business discount applied to a top-end MacPro will probably be enough to buy another Mac!

It does seem like it would be the perfect time for the parade.

October 11, 2013 at 4:38 pmIt’s certainly been a long long wait for the Mac Pro and whilst I’m looking forward to a FCPX update I’ve got pretty used to it in its present form.
The whole 4K thing is all pretty aspirational in terms of end delivery format and totally seductive as an acquisition format and were business a bit busier I’d be interested in the new Sony 4k Handicam to play around with.

October 11, 2013 at 5:28 pmWasn’t it Larry Jordan recently saying he didn’t have any inside information and then speculated?
So either now he knows or this is just coincidental. -

October 11, 2013 at 5:56 pmMaybe he didn’t know then, what he knows now.
And soon, we will all know what he knew, and when, knowing what we know now.
You know?

October 11, 2013 at 6:07 pmAlas, we don’t know what he doesn’t know which is all we know.

October 11, 2013 at 6:31 pmThere are others I heard who were only brought up to speed recently- so it certainly plausible.
In terms of when 10.1 will be in our hands, depending on when Mavericks and the MacPro ship, either 22nd, 29th, or Nov 5th.
