They are offering free overnight shipping on the MacPro.

I do suspect they’re looking at getting in their stock order in advance.

Of course it’s harvesting emails because they certainly are going to blast back to those who sign up when the time comes. They may even ask for Credit Card info at that point.

I’m thinking it’ll be only a bit lower than Gary’s call.
$3499

Currently base MacPro is $2499 but it’s only Quad Core. I think they’ll have 6, 8, 12 core versions.
Current 6 Core MacPro is $2999. It’s $3249 with 2 5770s.

The new BTO 27″ iMac with Quad i7 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4GB and no other changes is $2399 so that’s sort of the new base (bottom end) MacPro replacement. Of course that has a nice monitor so it’s not 1 to 1.

So I think it’s reasonable that 6 Core with 2 of whatever base AMD FirePro GPUs would be $3499 (a bit more than the old 6 Core single GPU MacPro. Maybe $3249 if it matches the old 6 core with 2 GPUs but I think the new machines will be a bit more expensive.

So maybe $3249 but IMHO more likely $3499.
