i can synthesize a lut from your property’s grass, sky and your own face. it has to be properly exposed, and not high contrast sunlight but it is possible, albeit, very difficult. I would have to extrapolate a 3D lut without a chip chart of two completely unmatching pictures. keep in mind, the colors would match, but the light diffusion would also have to match. ie. slightly diffused clouds around 15% cover. that’s one thing luts can’t do, mimic light diffusion.

I must have to shoot in really low light because it just turns everything into super nova bright. Also, and I hate to tell you, but it appears some of your LUTs causes Lumetri to throw an error that you can’t recover from. I have to shut down and restart PPro. I believe it happened, in fact, when I tried the low light LUT on some footage I just shot.
Anyway, believe it or not, the pest control guy was at my house just now and sprayed me full on the face by accident so I’m off to take a loooooong shower.

i’ve been using iwltap luts for months, almost a year now, and never seen any crashes. did you accidentally put them in creative folder? that will crash premiere all right. they need to go in technical in a subfolder or on your desktop and also need to be in adobe media encoder same folder structure. is lumetri crashing any other things? try software render.
also, hope your feeling better after that sprayer guy. at least they don’t use that old stuff anymore which is not sewer safe, you know, the crazy strong stuff.

No, the LUTs are in their own folder (which as you know doesn’t neatly organize them) inside the Technical folder in both PPro and AME. I don’t think it was the LUT, like I said it was just time for PPro to crash. You know how it does on occasion.
I’ve been getting weird skin tones today. Shooting in the same room but under a sunnier conditions. Here’s an ungraded shot, then with gh5 indoor neutral/w lightened blacks (they’re all doing it while the official LUT is getting a lot closer to correct skin tone.
EDIT: I’ll have to do it tomorrow, for some reason my upload speed right now is like 5kbps.

what you need is a sunny lut at 6500k lol. I recommend using a white balance card using 90% white. it makes post easier.
0% reflectance (black): 7.3 IRE
18% reflectance (middle gray card): 42 IRE
90% reflectance (white): 61 IRE
absolute clipped superwhite: 80 IREyou can also try a chip chart and resolve’s color match or 3rd lut creator which reads the chip chart and builds a custom 3d lut.

I use 18% gray and sometimes white when it’s too dark for the camera to see the gray, but that’s not the problem. I know how to do manual white balance, and it’s not the camera as I’ve had this problem with both the GH4 and GH5. We’re getting back to my original point. I just plain suck.
Still can’t upload those latest samples. Waiting for the friggin’ cable guy to come tomorrow.

awesome! now that you’re in an actual professional program, hehe no more premiere, you can learn about ACES color management. It’s pretty neat. Let me know if you need any thing else. you’re gonna love the chip chart auto color and split vectorscopes, tracking, etc. when you get 400mpbs codec, let us know, we’d love to see the footage.

Two questions. I know you have to use .wav file audio in Resolve, but I tried applying a .wav file to an audio track and it doesn’t take. I even get the red circle with the red slash going through it when I hover over an audio track. What up with that?
Second question, I suddenly can’t place transitions between clips. I don’t get the red circle slash thing, but they just don’t get applied. Any ideas? They worked in other “projects” but in this one project it won’t work. Same type of clips as other projects. Weird.
UPDATE: For some reason only certain clips won’t let me add transitions. Even if I place one of these clips next to one that does let me apply a transition, only the side with the “good” clip will accept the transition. Even though these are all V Log clips shot on the GH5 in C4K 24p. Like I said, weird!
I will definitely zip up some 400mpbs ALL-I clips for you once the firmware update comes at the end of the month. Might have to shoot indoors as we’re being bombarded with stink bugs round these here parts!!! Seriously.
btw I tried white balancing using the color chart but it turned everything acid trippy like. I found a cool way to fix white balance using curves and a key, though.
