July 20, 2010 at 10:27 pmPlease tell me in detail what you do. Your computer sees the monitor right? When you open display prefs, it’s there?

July 20, 2010 at 10:41 pmThe computer recognizes the display.
When I go into APS program I can highlight the Dreamcolor to calibrate it. The next step is the “HP LP280zx USB Connection”. It asks me to make sure the USB cable is connected. I hit “Next” and a dialog window pops up that says to verify that the USB cable is connected between the monitor and the computer and to try again. It basically just stays caught in this loop and I can’t move to the next stage which would be “HP LP2480zx Settings”.thanks,
Nathan

July 20, 2010 at 10:52 pmThat is odd and I have never seen that. Try resetting the monitor back to factory calibration through the front panel

July 21, 2010 at 12:17 amSorry Nathan. I have never seen this problem. Maybe time to call HP.
I am running 10.6.4 and have had no calibration problems.

July 21, 2010 at 12:50 amHaven’t had a chance to try this yet. Just hooked up the Dreamcolor to my older intel Macbook pro running 10.4.11 and the calibration seems to be working fine. Must be some sort of conflict with new system?
I’ll check out your new lead once I reattach the monitor.
thanks for all the help,
Nathan

July 21, 2010 at 1:36 amI’m thinking it must be some sort of software error.
Let me know.

August 3, 2010 at 5:32 pmIf I have an LHI, do I need the HDP2 to use the dreamcolor with my system??

August 3, 2010 at 5:57 pmThis was covered in the article, but the HDP2 takes the guess work out of it. If you work in a exclusively progressive timeline all the time, then it will work. If you view 1080 psf, or SD at anytime, the LHi isn’t enough. I recommend the HDP2 as you will never really have to worry about it once it’s setup.
