Also, do you use TIme Machine at all?

No worries, I’ve been busy and haven’t had time to reinstall everything. I have Leopard, but Time Machine isn’t setup. I just need to create a break in my schedule to do the full backup and reinstall.

Yeah no worries about Time Machine, just checking something.

Let me know how the reinstall goes. I am curious if it will work.

OK, so that sort of worked. I tried the Compressor Repair and now it’s getting half way through a render and then starting over, but then it’s broken again. I run the repairing app again and it will then start to render and again stop halfway through. It appears as though it’s a Qmaster issue…

Ah, I forgot to mention, it’s at least now telling me that the render failed.

If you open ‘Batch Monitor’ you should see a reason why it failed.

Hello, I’ve been having the exact same problem – I’m running 10.4.11 / FCS2 with the latest ProApps update 2008-04 and QT 7.5.5. I have a thread on this issue on Apple’s support site as well, where other’s are experiencing the same problem. I’m running a Quad G5 4GB RAM.

I believe the problem actually started for me when I installed the 2008-03 update, so I’ve been searching endlessly for an archive of the 2008-02 update so I can try reinstalling from scratch and updating to 2008-02. Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t let you download past versions of the ProApps updates. >:-[

Here’s the Apple support thread link. Please add your comments to it!

Compressor has been a complete joke here for about two months now. Started with the previous update and a restore of our system using Time Machine. Can’t even use it on my machine at all, have to keep moving the files to one of our other computers to compress.

Even our other machines have flaky performance since that last update as well.
