  • Final Cut Pro crash due to use of BCC 6 plugin

Final Cut Pro quit unexpectedly while using the BCC NRTAll plugin.

Any thoughts as to why I keep experiencing intermittent crashes? I also seem to have the same kind of issue when using Noise Industries’ FXFactory Pro plugins. Is it by chance something on my side I could fix?

    Logan,

Are you getting these crashes consistently?

Could you send the full crash report in a text file to support@borisfx.com Subject Attn: Matt with steps on how to reproduce the crash?

I apologize for adding that extra text at the bottom.

It doesn’t happen all the time. The best I can describe it is it happens every so often. Maybe once every 10 minutes depending on my use of the plugins.

I’ll email that ASAP per your instructions. Thanks again!

    I’ll look for it.

    Logan,

Did you ever send that info?

I was using some of the BCC plugins yesterday to try and get some of that code again, but thankfully I haven’t experienced any crashes yet. Sorry for that delay. I’ll send it to you the next time I get a crash error message. Thanks again!

    Any resolution to this?
I just upgraded to Snow Leopard, the latest FCP AND the latest BCC. I’ve been getting the same error message.
    Thanks.

    Kenny,

There is no resolution to this at the moment. It is something that is being monitored and worked on. As soon as there is a fix you can expect me, or someone else, to post it here.

FCP 7 crashes consistantly with this error when I apply BCC Extruded Text filter to a slug. Crash occurs when I either render the timeline or export to self contained QT movie.
FCP 7, Snow Leopard, BCC 6.0.4, NVidea GX 285, Mac Pro early 2009
