You shouldn’t be using a lap top screen for color correction, computer screens are not color accurate. However a Metrox MXO will help.

It is a personal choice between mat and glossy Paul. I choose glossy only after playing the same video back side by side on a mat and on a glossy computer.
Also keep in mind that if your local Apple store does not have your choice in stock, it is a three week wait to have it ship. (I found that out when I ordered mine this week)

No DVD players will automatically, letter box 16:9 video when played on a 4:3 TV if the DVD is set up as a 16:9 DVD. This way the DVD will also play full screen on a 16:9 TV.
