I am sorry but anything that overlocks the CPU is going to generate more heat, thus increasing the possibility of frying the CPU or the logic board.

Dont be so sure, one day your machine will not turn on because you fried the processor and motherboard, sure they will start the repair under warranty, but once thy turn it on to test it they will notice your little hack, and then hand you the big fat bill.
Its not worth the risk.

Disk permission in Leopard takes a LOT longer then it ever did in prevues versions of the OS. Give it more time and see if it finishes.
Oh and the 10.5.3 update did fix some issues in disk utility.

The iMac does NOT have a video input.

I think your model will, but to be safe I would recommend taking it to a store and ask if you can test it on one of there display monitors.

Start with repairing disk permissions. If the issues continues trash the preference files.
