Doug you will need yo purchase the Pro version of Flip4Mac. The free one will let you play then but it it limits exports to somewhere around 10 sec

Well Mortimer, it would be helpful if you told us what machine you have and what graphics card you have.
Without that information nobody will be able to answer your question.

More info on your machine please.
Honestly I would be suppressed it it will even take a 2 gb chip of ram, I would be surprised if any G4 machine could take more then a 1 gb chip in any one slot.

Apparently you did not understand what I said. it is NOT a hardware restriction, it is hardware support. You cannot expect an OS that was released before new hardware was released to be able to fully support that new hardware, as it was NOT out when that OS was built.
Even machines that came out after Leopard was released will have a newer build of the OS (even though it is the save version 10.4.2 etc it will still be a newer build of the OS, for example look on the disks hat came with the new machine they will have a build number on it)
Another example is that the Leopard retail box disk that you buy will not even support machines built after the release of Leopard.
It is NOT a restriction issue it is a SUPPORT issue.

It is still probably the audio jack, I had a friend with the EXACT same issue. Take it in to your Apple Store and have one of there Geniuses look at it.

What OS are you running on the old computer?
The biggest issue that you face is that the OS on your old machine will NOT fully support the NEW hardware on the new machine.
Anytime you have a new machine I recommend starting FRESH.

Your machine contains hardware that will NOT be supported in Tiger. I saw some one who tried doing that and the machine ran all sorts of funny because the old OS did not contain drivers for the newer hardware.
Stick with leopard or get a machine that was released before Leopard was released.

The problem with carbon copy cloner is that you are moving from one machine to a different machine, the older machine will most likely not have the support for the hardware of the new machine.
If you have not yet set up the new machine simply choose the option when it comes on to migrate from an old machine. If you have set up an account, then use the migration assistant in the utilities folder and that will migrate the users account on the old computer into a new account on the new computer. Sorry you cannot merge two accounts together.
