Your rate is quite low. Most likely you are forgetting to calculate in a lot of things.

And consider renting cameras for a while as you get started. Its a TON cheeper, and lets face it you wont be needing one all the time.

Try the owner of the abandoned factory, they are the only ones that can give you permission to be on the property. If you dont have that Im betting money that the security guard is not going to be vary nice.

The best way to do it is with a external calibrator that will let you calibrate your display with with printer.

Ummmm, most likely the drive is bad, and needs to be replaced.

Sorry but ANY computer is going to be extremely outdated at that length. Three good years is about the max in my opinion.

Sure you may be able to get a cheep PC with close to the same ram and hard drive, but you will most likely NOT find a 500 PC with the same processor speed. Any PC you find at that price will have the processing power of a 1-2 year old machine. (and you say you want some beef for AE)
Another thing to keep in mind is that Apple makes both the hardware and OS and so that right there cuts out a TON of problems.
I know there is a recession, but you still get what you pay for.
