I have a blue line on the very left of my frame, through all of the media. And, I can’t recapture. How can I crop or scale so that the left-most pixel line will be cut off. And, even more importantly, how do I make FCP “finalize” the crop. I’ve cropped and scaled, and then exported to a QT movie. But, there’s a black line in place of the blue one. Can’t FCP “zoom in” on the cropped portion? I know it will hurt the resolution a bit, but that’s better than a blue line. Thank you very much (and yes, I’m a novice)!

I own an HV20 and I use FCP 5.1 with a Mac Pro. I can’t capture 1080i24p with FCP. I haven’t tried capturing 30-frame HDV, but it probably works. Mostly, I shoot with the 24p option turned on. There is an “easy setup” in FCP 5.1 called 1080p24. This is not the same! It still requires a long render, and I am not willing to sit through it.

Does the new Final Cut Studio 6/FCP 2 have a 1080i24p easy setup? If so, I’ll buy the upgrade. But, I need to be sure.

    Thanks!
