Before you do something that drastic and time consuming, i’d recommend going into AE’s “keylight” effect and messing around with tolerance levels. That effect can really accomplish somethings that simpler ones simply cannot.

That happens to me a lot. Why does the continuous rasterize/collapse transform mess up alignment so often?

There are a million ways to do it actually. Really, a million!

Almost any of the settings in the adjust column will do it. Saturation is the one most specific. Just desaturate your image over time and you’ll have grayscale before you can say rgb!

For whichever force you are using to make the layer shatter – change it’s depth/radius so that the edges of the force “ball” aren’t touching the layer. As long as the edges don’t interact with the layer, the layer won’t shatter.

    Hi,

Here is the expression I used:

    loop_out(“cyle”,0)

I’m time-remapping a 7 second piece. Should I stretch out the tail of the layer to the end of the comp length? Or should the tail sit right where I want to start looping? As in, does the layer need exist under the playhead in order for the loop expression to work?

    thanks,
    Yussef
