    It’s also very nice to use when you want to repeat something. For instance, I made a heartbeat monitor, I just sequenced the layers not to overlap and repeated the layer in the sequence to give the heartbeat effect. This site is awesome for help if this is your first time visiting. I’m no owner of the site or master of AE but this site is great!

    Make sure your not parenting and then moving things you don’t mean to. Also, make sure you are keyframing appropriately. I find its better to animate characters in other programs then import them into after effects as a comp.

    If I was you, i would use flash for the smoothest results. After Effects isnt really the best program for fluid animation like that, unless you think you can just use the brush tool and fill some frames in or something.
