    Thanks for the info, guys.
I figured that I’d go for AE forum instead of C4D forum because the questions were so elementary and figured that a lot of AE users also use C4D.
    Nevertheless, I appreciate the feedback.

Saving the c4d model as .3ds, I was able to bring it into Invigorator. I believe the model was a nurb, if I recall correctly.

For some reason, only 3ds format worked for me at the time.

    Good luck

  • Your tutorial presentations are always well organized and professional.

    Many thanks.

    I overlooked that area.
    I appreciate your help.

After posting the questions, I tried (on PC) control ~ and that expanded the layer and effects properties. Also, as you mentioned, shift , should cycle through the open comps, but I could not get this to work.

I’m sure adobe had issues on keyshortcuts from 6.5 to 7, but I like the keyshorts on 6.5 better than 7.

    Thanks, John.

    Thanks for the reply, Filip.

It would be so great if this is doable because it opens up a world of possibilities.

I am back on topic this time.

As I suspected, it was the codec pack. I came to work this morning and decided to see if upgrading the K-lite codec(from 2.54 to 2.65)would do anything and right away I was able to import the mp3 in AE and it also took care of the DTS audio decoding problem I was having.

I wanted to let you know that in response to all your inputs.
    Thanks a lot.

[Steve Roberts] “Sorry if I underestimated you, but you’ve seen the kind of questions we often get on the COW. :)”

I totally understand what you’re saying, Steve. I’ve seen some ridiculous Q’s in the past. You did not have to apologize because your providing valuable information is always much appreciated.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Glenn,

I normally do not get errors when working in AE. I haven’t had to import mp3’s for close to a year or so.

The only thing I’m suspecting is that it could be the codec change from unified codec pack to k-lite codec pack. The reason for this change has to do with FlaskMpeg(vob to avi converter) that would only work with k-lite codec for some silly reason.

I guess I could reinstall the unified codec pack see if the problem goes away. Otherwise, I just have to live with saving the mp3s to mov or wav.

    Best.
