I am AE 7 user and been using it for many years.

Needing a 3D application in conjunction with AE has crossed my mind frequently. So, I finally decided to give Cinema 4D a try; hearing much good stuff about it.

I am just scratching the surface of C4D.
I have two questions for now after reading the entire users guide.

Using camera, is there a POI control much like the cam. in AE where you can just drag around?

And this is probably so simple, but is there a render botton after going thru all the settings much like the AE render setting and render botton all in one window?

My questions may seem a little blunt, any tips will be appreciated.

Really these are C4D Cow questions. But if you want the POI for the cam, create a null. Stick a ‘target’ tag on the camera and drag the null to the target box. Now the cam will aim at that null.

Don’t understand your 2nd question other than saying just go to the render window where there are all your options.

I’d spend time going thru the entire manual. It only takes about 4 or 5 good days and then you’ll know it in and out. It’s incredibly simple and powerful.

Also, if you want more control over your camera,……….
There is a great tool made by TCA studio, its called SteadyCam.
There is a pro version AND a free version, most excellent stuff.

    Kind regards, Robert

    Thanks for the info, guys.
I figured that I’d go for AE forum instead of C4D forum because the questions were so elementary and figured that a lot of AE users also use C4D.
    Nevertheless, I appreciate the feedback.

Well, turns out that there is camera and camera target and also for the light.
this is all I needed to do the job.

I guess it takes just a little more look into to find these things out yourself.
