    Yeah, they are FAT32.

I’m starting to think it’s how I am bringing the cards in. I have a single Panasonic P2 Card reader. When I bring in the first card the clip is broken into 4 GB chunks. When I bring in the second card, sometimes it reconnects them into the whole clip, sometimes it doesn’t.

    ??????

I don’t know how to get around this. I have tried moving the P2 card contents onto a drive and then importing into FCPX and that does other weird things (4GB clips still show up as well as the “whole” 45 GB shot).

    ?????

Anyone know how to deal with p2 cards and FCPX when spanning cards?

Yeah, I knew about that. I think it’s happening on the way into FCPX. Did a test last night and
one clip came in full and the other was broken into 4 gig chunks.

On the camera, they are one but after you bring it into FCPX it gets broken up.

I think I am going to start using some different means to back up and transfer my P2 footage.

FCPX seems to be buggy with it.

Bummer, just cost me a client probably.

It’s the p2 cards that are fat32. FCPX is supposed to see the tags and re-connect them as
    one clip.

Once in a while FCPX brings them in that way. Most of the time they are connected as one clip.

    ?????

    Weird.

Just did two tests last night. One came in as ONE big 14GB clip.

Real bummer is that this bug has caused me to lose a clip I think. It was the main part of
an interview that can’t be replaced.

December 7, 2010 at 7:34 pm in reply to: H.264 Blu-Ray and Encore

    This is still happening.

I have the same problem now on a Mac Pro Quad running the latest version of compressor and cs4.

try to export h.264 with compressor with the “Blu-Ray template”
but it crashes Encore when trying to import assets.

Any ideas? I have Toast 9 with the blu-ray plug in.

I was hoping to do a nice menu in Encore.

    Hello all,

I just spent the last two weeks shooting with the HPX300. I did some messing around with 720p and DVCProHD but then switched over to 1080 30p and the AVC Intra codec.

The outdoor shots look like a painting. So beautiful and sharp but they have the color that really makes it look like a window. So far when I show them to people they say wow that looks nice. Then, I roll the video and they say “that is video!???” They can’t believe it’s actually moving.

I am ready to go buy one, I hope your problem was just a bad sensor. It must be something like that because the one I have here rocks.

My experience with the varicam and various sony HD cameras keeps me away from the small cameras. I need a full size pro camera.

I am having the same issue. Sorry I can’t help you figure it out. I haven’t been able to
    make it stop.

Just wanted to let you know your not the only one.

    I am running

    FC Studio 6.0.6
    Mac OS 10.5.7
    Dual 2.5 G5 Power PC
    5.5 GB DDR SDRAM
Dual Mac 17″ screens and the original gfx card for this machine with an ADC adaptor on
    one of the screens.

Anyone know what might be up? I have what I think are
weird re-draw issues sometimes too in FCP windows.

    Good Luck
