HPX300 Recording Problem?
I have a HPX300 that seems to be working fine but is now splitting records into 4.4 GB clips.
Any idea why this might be happening? It happened once before but stopped. Now it’s doing it again.

P2 cards are formatted FAT 32. It has a file limitation of 4 GB. Most edit systems will stitch together the clips to make 1 file.

Yeah, I knew about that. I think it’s happening on the way into FCPX. Did a test last night and
one clip came in full and the other was broken into 4 gig chunks.On the camera, they are one but after you bring it into FCPX it gets broken up.
I think I am going to start using some different means to back up and transfer my P2 footage.
FCPX seems to be buggy with it.
Bummer, just cost me a client probably.

I haven’t had the chance to work with FCP X and P2. It works flawless with FCP 7, Premiere CS 6 and Media Composer 6.
