Thanks for the hint, I already updated AE.

The strange thing fo me is, that it starts rendering with using all power, and while rendering the usage decreases – i extended RAM already.

I am not really getting it?

So far I used the normal Uninstaller to do a fresh install – should I use the script as an alternative. So far I thought this one is only for corrupted installations, where the deinstallation does not work at all …

    Anyway: thanks.

    Thanks for your response!

So far I do not have any special compressed footage in any comp: a couple of (big) PNGs used for different 3D Layers, green screen footage with Keylight (maby that causes the slow down) and that’s it.

Should not be a big deal.

I thought on using the Adobe Media Encoder as Alternative, but there are no setup possibilities to define the multi core usage – i would guess its the same like putting it into the AE que, but it uses even less horse power.

If keylight is the bittlekneck, are there keying plug ins supporting multicore?

Thanks for your answer … the bg does not have to that complex, floor plane and some details as seprate layers to get a better impression of the depth.

But I did not really get what you ment – you mean i should some how do manually what vanaishing from photoshop does?

Cut ut the floor part, position it right in Ae 3D space as floor part, then distort the image that way, the it looks right through the comp cam?

    Hey,

I am just trying to use this one in my comp and it says:

“Timeout while waiting for the engine”

The strange thing is, the line with the problem changes quite often: 17, 23, 18 … isn’t it strange? But there is always the T used in this line …

Has someone an idea, what can I do about it?

    MacPro OSX 10.5.4 // AE CS3 8.0.2.27 // DV PAL Preset Comp

It was only a slight misunderstanding of AE and C4D … the camera data for export fits (like it should be) exactly to the the numer of frames that you want to export (Render Settings > Output) and if there is a very short amount of frames – in my case 5 – is setup to be rendered (Frame X to Y) – AE has a problem of understanding the data.

So I set the frames to be rendered to the complete C4D project and saved the AEC and everything is fine.
