The only way you can even improve the sound and then it’s going to be minimal, is to highlight and amplify each individual word spoken, sorry … The problem is everything is within the same frequency’s so by removing the crowd noise you remove the speaker … I wish there was an easier way but I don’t know of any ………….. Yes, you can take the wind noise out doing what was suggested, but the bummer is that because the wind covers so many of the same freq’s that are in the voice you end up taking a lot of dynamic’s out of the voice and it starts to sound like it has echo on it and gets very tinny sounding … There is no real good solution except when you are recording outside and can bury a wireless inside a shirt to act as a mega windscreen … On the recording you have take small chuncks out maybe starting at 50% then take out 40% and continue with the same proceedure as far as you can and still live with the sound … I do a fishing program and have tried everything that my 9 years of working with Audition can think of and the only way is to make sure you record with every safeguard possible because it is near impossible to fix in post and still have it sound good ……… WILLIE

Problem number one is that you recorded the drums with the band, that is never a good thing if you want a quality mix … In the futer have the band record with a simple drum track recorded from a drum machine that they can hear through headphones, then once you have that go back and record the drums … Now to your problem … You may be able to correct it with EQ … What you have to do is get as close to the freq of the snair and boost just that freq … This can be accomplished using the parametric EQ … If you have problems and want to E-mail me a minute or so I can get you pointed in the right direction … E-mail to loganonestudio@aol.com ………….. It sounds like a looping problem to me I need to know your system config to really help … You can check in the options and see what you have set for in’s and out’s … I am filming in Montana and won’t be able to get back with you until tomorrow evening …………. WILLIE

So once you have them set up you do a mixdown of those tracks to one track … Yes, I would re-enstal cuz somethin is a miss … WILLIE

I think you need to uninstall and re-install Audition … You could always put the B track on the track below placed where you want it to start, this is really the preferred method anyway, although I will on occasion do the overlay ………. WILLIE

OK, here is what I found out … When you go to save your file as an MP 3 you will see an “OPTIONS” tab at the bottom right side of the page, click on it … Now look for the “ADVANCED” tab click on it … Look for the scroll down window that says “ISO TAB” it will give you the option of selecting “NO TAB” … I think that should take care of it, but if it shouldn’t I would read the help file and experiment with the settings … I hope this helps ……. All you have to do is bring them back into the edit side, highlight and delete the silence and resave … I will check and see were you need to look for setting changes so it won’t do that … I haven’t had this experience at all so I am curious and will get back with you this evening when I have a chance to do some research ………… WILLIE
