There are several ways to go about this … The NOISE REMOVAL filter might work well since the frequency of baby and priest should be far enough away from each other … Go to the NOISE REMOVAL filter and open it up. highlight just the baby crying and CAPTURE > OK this will lock it on now open it back up highlight complete clip and adjust the percentage you want to take out while you preview … Be careful not to take out too much as it will really get ugly if you do … You can also try the NOTCH FILTER, PARAMETRIC EQ and in SPECTRAL MODE you will be able to see the crying and you can highlight and just lower the gain via AMPLITUDE … If you are still having a problem you can always E-mail me a clip of a minute or so and I can help get you started in the right direction … E-mail to loganonestudio@aol.com ……. I have always found that I go with what works … Are you going from 16 to to 32 bit? Nuendo may not like 32 bit and I can certainly see that it can be a problem ………… WILLIE

Try boosting your low end there are many different filters to accomplish this with … On the EDIT side go to EFFECTS > FILTERS and you will find several EQ filters I would start with the PARAMETRIC if I was working on the project … If you have Pre Pro installed on your computer it has some VST filters that you can import into Audition that may work for this applicartion as well … Once you get it sounding like you would like then add a bit of reverb …………. Steve,

Make sure your sample rates are the same but I feel it may be a problem with the Nuendo program or a latency issue … What sound card are you using? If I read it correctly when you import it you are importing to a different computer or are you doing everything on the same computer? If it’s a different computer how are you doing the transfer, network or via disk?

    Tim,

When you bring that file back to the edit side are you still at -3? 2.0 does have issues when it comes to mixdowns you can correct by simply taking the sessions main mixer and bumping it up by 2 db … FYI … Hard Limiting should be the very last thing you do before saving the finished mix and in most cases should be reserved for the finished mix and not each track of the mix since over limiting can really play havok with dynamic’s ………..
