Success!! It worked using the Fracture instead of Cloner – i don’t know a lot about Fracture but this is interesting. Thank you.

Cheers Jim, I basically wanted a random layout that easily be switched around depending what mograph selection was chosen. It was just for different layouts of the same thing. So started with a grid array and with the ones i didn’t what to show i just switched them off. Then added the randomizer. But I’ll try this Fracture idea out that Andy mentions and let you guys know how it went.

    Thanks again,

    Will.

Thanks for the quick response Brian. Still seems there is minimal info on how to do this for cinema 4D unless you use a 3rd party plugin or export to a web based programme. I think it’s a Unity job so might go down that line.

The thing that I need doing is like how you see a property walkthrough where you’re stood inside a 360 still and move from 1 hotspot to another within a 3D model, but the movement to each of those hotspots gives the user an illusion of the space/objects around you being 3D, incase you’ve seen the Matterport Pro camera? I want to replicate that somehow. Appears it’s only available to folks taking photos!

Maybe someone will pick up the thread where we left off ????

    Cheers
    Will.

    Hi Brian,

Did you figure this issue out or receive any help with it in the end?

I need the same kind of thing, but can’t figure out how to make objects look 3D as you pan around.

    Thanks
    Will.

    Hi there,

I’m modelling an armchair and can’t get the cushion/seat padding to work. The look i want is rather like caterpillar segments. I tried using the soft selection tool to raise the sections to look like the cushioning but when i do this it bring the edges away from where i want them to be fixed/flush with the seat.

Is there a simple way to do this correctly? Any advice would be gratefully received.

    Here’s the link below:

    Thanks,
    Will.
