We have money built in for shipping (but not enough for a second rental day.) A local owner/operator would be ideal, so long as he/she would be okay with serving as 1st AC on the shoot. My DP will be operating.

That could be the ticket. Damn me and my need to organize!

    Thanks, Dale.

  • BTW, I tried reinstalling the FRC and trashing my prefs. Neither of which worked.

I just posted this in the FCP forum — I converted some files yesterday with the FRC, and they all worked fine. I tried to convert some clips today, and I got an error message saying there was no video in the selected clip. I even tried converting clips that were converted yesterday with no luck today.

What FPS was used when shooting your footage?

I know the 894 menu was setup correctly. We went through all of the menus, and when they were setup correctly, we had nothing. I know it doesn’t make any sense, but the change int he 020 menu did the trick. Anyway the deck is gone now and all the footage is in, so “c’est la vie.”

    Walter,
Another note: he is loading using the Apple DVCPro HD 720p24 codec. The clips are 720×960, using the 720p60 codec. Would there be any problem with the clips because of the SYS FORMAT issue? Because we’re not seeing any. In our tests, we were not using the HD-SDI output, but Firewire. For whatever reason, it (the Firewire out) wouldn’t work with the 720 setting.
