Thanks for the quick reply Max. That’s good advice. I’m glad to hear that it’s a rare occurence. This disc has been in a whole bunch of players with only this one, a Supersonic (?!), as the bad egg. Got it at a casino as a free prize.
I use Vegas along with the Cinema Craft Basic encoder and DVD-Lab Pro. DVD-Lab has many features in common with high end authoring packages. Not fancy looking, but very powerful.
Having spent many years with the very intuitive timeline editing in Vegas, FCP is indeed a bit of a pain. I haven’t yet found a way to duplicate the overlapping crossfade from Vegas in FCP.
But I have always liked the FCP tutorials at Ken Stone’s site.
