My new employer requires me to learn and use Final Cut Pro. Is there anywhere a list of side x side how-tos for Vegas and Final Cut? For instance, to dissolve two shots in Vegas we overlap them or add a transition. In FCP????

Learning new software is always difficult but I hope to make this as swift and painless as possible.

    Thanks for any help.

Having spent many years with the very intuitive timeline editing in Vegas, FCP is indeed a bit of a pain. I haven’t yet found a way to duplicate the overlapping crossfade from Vegas in FCP.

But I have always liked the FCP tutorials at Ken Stone’s site.

No side by side with Vegas, but lots of pictures!

Thanks. There’s a lot to work through on his site, but it is all well laid out and explained. Great tip.
