Tried it. Premiere CC import can’t see a .prel file.

Thanks, Andy, for the quick response. If that button was in previous versions, I sure as heck didn’t notice it.

Thanks. Are you using it yourself? I have an Intensity (not Pro) card in my machine now, but don’t use it much because it only works on an HD timeline. Apparently my Samsung monitor doesn’t support the HDMI mode the card spits out in SD.

    A warning.
I downloaded a trial of AOA DVDripper and after several days, my anti-virus program detected “malicious code” Backdoor.Win32.Rbot.cqk in the DVDripper executable.

September 22, 2006 at 1:58 pm in reply to: Exporting to Windows Media?

I do a lot of exports for PowerPoint. Here are the WME settings that I use, and have worked reliably on the laptops we use for presentations:

    Audio: 192kbps, 48kHz, stereo CBR

    Video size: 640×480
    Frame rate: 29.97 fps
    Video bit rate: 2000K bps
    Video smoothness: 0
    Decoder complexity: Auto

    Under the processing tab:
    Deinterlance

This makes my presenter very happy. He’s a former network TV guy, and a stickler on quality.
Make sure you put the .wmv file on the presentation computer harddrive, and turn off every other process except powerpoint. You may get full screen video to play properly 9 times out of 10 pulling it off the CD/DVD drive, but the 10th time will always be your most important presentation .

For what it’s worth, on my systems I’ve found that it is faster to export a movie (.avi) from Premiere, and then encode for the Web using Windows Media Encoder.

August 12, 2006 at 2:08 am in reply to: MPEG2 audio out of sync

    Aanarav,
    The mpeg file is
    1920X1080
    29.97 frames/sec
    2500 kbps
    Qf (whatever that is) O.402

Premiere project settings are the HDV 1080i presets. Audio is in sync when played in the project window player and source monitor, but lags about 9 seconds when dropped onto the timeline and rendered. Similar situation if the source file is SD and brought into standard NTSC settings.

Again, many thanks for the help.
