    You can do this in Ae with an expression.

    Import your Premiere edit into Ae, then add a Text layer as the top layer, above everything else in the edit. Twirl the text layer open, then twirl the Text layer group open, then Alt+click the Source Text stopwatch and paste this code:

    layerName = "";
    layerCountdown = "";
    for (var i = index+1; i <= thisComp.numLayers; i++) {
    if (thisComp.layer(i).active) {
    layerName = thisComp.layer(i).name;
    layerCountdown = timeToTimecode(thisComp.layer(i).outPoint - time, timecodeBase = 1/thisComp.frameDuration, isDuration = true);
    }
    }
    layerName + "\n" + layerCountdown;

    This will display the name and countdown for the active layer at the top of the stack (below the text layer).

  • I think the hard work has been done for you with these two products:

    I can’t think of a way to do what you describe through Ae’s scripting.

    Where does the clipboard data that you’re pasting come from? Since we can set the value of a text layer’s Source Text property directly, maybe there’s another way we can suggest to accomplish your goal.

    [Vishwesh Menon] “1. Premiere Pro CC 2018 also wont play/preview when I press Space bar
    2. Online Videos aren’t playing on any Web browser”

    Given that you’re having video playback issues over a number of applications, I’d first suggest re-installing your GPU drivers.

    Can you update to 15.0.1? It contains some bug fixes (but still supports older QuickTime components and is otherwise compatible with 15.0.0).

    [dema jameel] “I’m guessing they play it and record the screen. So I’d like to see all bounding boxes and not just the selected shape. “

    Select all, take a screenshot, advance to the next frame, take a screen shot, advance to the next frame, etc. Import your screenshots as an image sequence and output.

    Maybe give Mistika VR a try.

    Here’s an example of converging stereo 180 video in Mistika VR:

    The information you showed here already expresses the focal length in 35mm equivalency:

  • Focal length (equivalent of 35mm film): 4.08 – 81.6 mm

    [Matt Platt] “I’d be playing it back on an Avolites Ai media server system that utilizes a proprietary codec called AIM which is in a Quicktime wrapper. Think I should try something like AVI and then convert it to AIM after the fact?”

    Yes, that’s a good workflow. We usually render to QuickTime Animation or a mezzanine codec like CineForm or ProRes (depending on the project specifics) to keep a high-quality version for the archives), and then we encode for delivery from there.

    July 6, 2018 at 1:13 am in reply to: Revealing a List of Text Line by Line

    Gary, that’ll happen if the solid is not the exact same size as the line spacing, and if it’s not positioned exactly between the lines. I just eyeballed it when I made the original project, and I should have been more precise.

    I’d suggest manually setting the leading, and adjusting the size/scale of the Text Matte solid to match it exactly. If you’re using 60px type, the default leading is 72px, and you should set the solid to be 72px in height at 100% scale. Move the solid so it sits perfectly over a line of text, exactly splitting the separation between lines, and you should be all set.
