Out of memory error / unspecified drawing error
Hi everyone,
Since I have installed a second video card I’m getting two error messages infrequently but daily.
The first one says “Out of memory. Requested (some number)” usually followed by an “Unspecified Drawing Error” message.
After clicking through all those errors in the top right of the viewport it says Hardware Acceleration Disabled.
After digging through some similar threads I’ve already closed the audio panel in AFX, that sped things up a bit but I’m still getting those errors.
I can’t figure it out for the life of mine. In the Nvidia control panel I have only assigned one of the two GPUs (the first one) to be used by After Effects for CUDA etc.
The GPUs are not connected with an SLI bridge, SLI is disabled as well.System Specs:
AMD Ryzen 1700x @ 3.7 GHz
2x Gigabyte GTX1080 G1 Gaming
64 GB RAM @2400 Mhz (4×16 GB Dual-Channel)
M2 Flash memory for system
SSD as project drive and scratch disk (media chache)
7200 RPM as general data drive (not used by AFX)
Windows 10
After Effects 15.0.0.
All drivers are up to dateThanks so much for any input!
