batch script aerender to output H.264 with CC 2018
Using After Effects and Media encoder CC 2018, I need to render out multiple videos to H.264.
I would like to create a batch file to open many instances of aerender.exe so that rendering uses all the PC’s cores to render the videos in parallel.Based on info here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/automated-rendering-network-rendering.htmlI need to use: -Omtemplate “MyPresetName”
In order to choose H.264 to render to.However, in AE 2018 there is no H.264 export option any more so I cant make an H.264 preset to call with the batch script.
Is there any way around this?
– Perhaps there is a way to open multiple Media encoders rather than aerender.exe (which opens instances of After effects I think)
– Could there be a hidden way to access H.264 in AE in order to make the preset?
– Perhaps the batch script can call a Media Encoder preset instead? (seems unlikely)Many thanks for any nudge in the right direction!!
