yeah I’m thinking the delay in the announcement is because BMD does not have their official NAB reveals until Monday morning. I would suspect they’ll announce Adobe support tomorrow.

Kevin, I actually wrote a blog about our current workflow back in December. This will change a little bit thanks to the work Adobe put into this next version of Premiere Pro, but the basics are still the same.

Yeah me too! I’ve never touched it beyond a cursory glace since it didn’t support our video cards. I still love Resolve though. But I’ll take another look at it next week and see where they are at.
By the way, you’ll probably be very interested in our press release coming next Tuesday right here on Creative Cow. Got a whole lot more than just “Stop Staring” that will be coming over the next few months…. 🙂

You can achieve streaks through light leaks and such. We have a bunch from digieffects and crumple pop. You just key them in.

A Transcode and Consolidate feature. Take the final timeline, turn it all into one codec / one format and consolidate that media into a single location.
This way you can have your final Master timeline in one format, one location.
I don’t think that made this cut of the application but something I”ve had a lot of chats with your engineers over the past year. Sounds like something they might still be considering for the future, but honestly, your team addressed the most important needs with this release.

Actually, we built an entirely new workflow to adapt to Adobe’s media management and we’re quire happy with that. I don’t think the actual feature we’ve been asking for, “Transcode and Consolidate” the final timeline into a stand alone project will be in this version of PPro but from conversations with the engineers, it sounds like something they are still considering. But honestly, that process is no longer a priority for us, we adjusted our workflow and are quite happy with it.
Truthfully when I saw the clip mixer and the “relink media” from within the timeline, that made me literally jump out of my chair. Yes I was THAT happy and yes I’m a total geek. 🙂
Everything else the Adobe engineers have added with this release is just gravy and the efficiency just keeps getting better. Really makes me happy we made the switch to Premiere Pro.

Kevin, the entire team did an amazing job with the update, not only listening to the editors needs but engaging the entire community to find out WHY we were asking for the changes. I can honestly say I’ve never had so much communication with a company during development of a product as I have this past year with Adobe.
I know it’s very tough to move the application forward in a way that new users are asking for while also maintaining the tried and true workflow that your loyal users love. I think you’ve done a great job balancing the needs of both communities.

That’s all it is. You keep 90% they keep 10%.
You put your videos up on Vimeo.
You set the price.
If people buy the videos, you make 90%.
That’s all there is in terms of Vimeo On Demand. There is no “selling of the series.” It’s just an open marketplace. If people find and buy your videos, you make money.
