I’ve had those desks going on 6 years now I think. I LOVE them. I stand a good portion of the day and Kylee stands for a while usually each day too. Up to each editor, every edit suite has the same Antho Fit Console so they all have the option to sit or stand.

Instead of encoding try Rendering the timeline first. I’ll bet that the Frame count never stops counting up. As in “rendering frame 20 of 350” where the “350” just keeps counting up and it never finishes..
We see that from time to time and Kylee Wall came up with a simple solution to that. Change the Render format of the Video Previews in the Sequence. Say from I-Frame MPEG to Quicktime and save the settings. That will force Premiere Pro to clear out the Video Preview Cache. Now switch the Video Preview settings back to where you want it. Render. Should be fine.
For whatever reason this works where even deleting all the Video Preview files and the Media Cache don’t. And it works every time.
So if your timeline can’t finish rendering the frames, it won’t encode either.

“I will say it’s VERY rare for us anymore to get footage from P2 cameras. But obviously Adobe needs to address the issue as there are still a lot of P2 cameras around.
I know when we were having all sorts of issues with Tape Capture / Master to Tape a while back, we were one of the few still doing that. But they worked through the issues and gave us a really solid workflow for that which we still use from time to time.
So they will fix it, especially since Peter says they have reproduced the issue. Just some things will take more time than others.

Normal operating procedure for most agencies and even larger corporations. Go to a known production entity that can do the work, then hand over the budget to another production company they would prefer to work with for whatever reason and ask them to match or beat the price.
We’ve run into that so many times through the years and will continue to run into that in the future.

There is no reason to sell a DVD really for that market. Very few cameras today shoot film. So if you have a digital camera, you have a computer to process the photos. Therefore you’re more likely to get digital sales.
How are you marketing the product? It doesn’t sell itself. You need a major marketing arm behind it. That’s one reason so many of us create training products for sites like Creative Cow and Lynda. They have tremendous marketing resources behind them and always give us a fair rate in return for our work.
Doesn’t matter how good the download or DVD platform is, people need to know the title is available to purchase. On Amazon you’re in a pool of millions of titles.

That’s going to make a standard def file. Try using the H264 YouTube preset for whatever frame size / frame rate of your original video.

You can’t embed a video from a site like YouTube? I’ve not used Kickstarter yet, only Indiegogo and we simply uploaded our video to YouTube and embedded it on the Indiegogo page.
