the quick look I saw a little downside that it requires an installed plug-in
Even I had the same thought when I first checked the service. But its just one minute installation.

I created a similar video just like you want to make when I was a student.
Check this link:

I used a 3D camera to Pan and Zoom effects and there was no problem at all.
I tried to add a camera to the scene and when I pan the camera around the image, the image moves off camera and it does not look right. Are you keyframing the Point of Interest and Position Parameter of Camera?

Till now what I understood from your explanation is that you want your text to be filled with Pixels of different colors. Tell me if I am wrong?
I have created an example:

I have used a multicolored grid. You can create your own with simple solids and Grid effect. Then use CC RepeTile.

As Todd said Animating the scale parameter and using a blur effect could create the desired look.
Check the Example:
5524_throbbingeffectae.zipInstead of any blur effect, I just used the Native Motion Blur of AE. Though you can use a blur effect to enhance the effect.

What you need to do this is called a Matte.
Learn about track matte in after efffects

See the scripts by Chris Green for doing this:
https://www.crgreen.com/aescripts/I have already tried this script.
Firstly this script is for Mask Path and not for Shape Layer Path Parameter.(Yes I know that we can copy the Shape Layer Path to a Mask Path.)
Secondly this will not Parent or Directly link the Null object(position) to the Vertex of a Mask Path.By this I mean that as soon as you move the Null object, the vertex won’t move automatically, Which is not real parenting. Null object should already have some transform data which will then be transferred to the vertex of Mask Path.

my mistake. I didn’t go through every post. I just saw the first one.
Btw, since u mentioned multithread, i get this message in the specific scene: “incompatible artisan, multiprocessing disabled”.
I wanted to know whether you have Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously ON or OFF. Turn it OFF if it is already Enabled. Since you have just one GPU, there is no need for it.
Also Do you have the latest updates of AE?
Update AE
Check this article about GTX6xxx series:https://www.studio1productions.com/Articles/AfterEffects.htm
There is information about the New Drivers too.
Hope it may help.

Best way to do this kind of animation is to use Puppet Tool.
Check this:
AFAIK there is no way to LINK(or Parent) Path Points to some other Point or Null Object.
Check the example:

The difference in the render time of Benchmark Scene is just of few seconds(comparing your render time and the one posted in thread listed above). It is normal to get this much difference as the rendering speed also depends on many factors and not just on GPU and CPU speed.
By this I mean that how many applications you are running while rendering the file also counts.
Another factor that counts a lot while rendering is Multiprocessing.
Since the difference is of just few seconds. Don’t think that your System is slow.
