You can also save a file with 30 folders in it. And when to work on it, “Save as” that file with different name.

Just like John, I would also recommend you to read ” Creating Motion Graphics with After Effects: Essential and Advanced Techniques” as it will not only give you complete information on AE but also several tips and tricks which are very helpful while working.

If suppose I have a footage at 25 fps and I import it as 23.98 fps, then also will this not decrease the duration of my output?

October 4, 2012 at 9:31 am in reply to: Making rain effect with particles with each droplets beign different assets?JonZ
It is easy to make this if you can use Trapcode Particular because you will have better control on Life, Bounce, Rotation, etc.If you can , then Put all the elements in Small Size Comp(200*200) and make each layer duration to 1 Frame.
Now in Particular Effects menu, Go to Particle and choose Sprite as particle Type.
Choose your Elements Comp as Texture layer. Then you can play with the settings.
In particle systems, you can achieve this with the same method by choosing Textured Square as Particle type but there is some difficulty with Longevity Property.
