I am afraid I may not be of much help to you in this case as I operate in India. The link was from a Indian retailer.

Hello James,
Could you please tell me how you resolved this error? I am getting a similar error with FilmConvert Pro and not able to see the plugin in PPRO CS6.
Thanks

Hi,
I have Dell 2312HM. Its good. This is 16:9. 2412M is 16:10 aspect ration. You get little more space in 2412M which will be useful when you have many layers in AE.

Any idea about the new Haswell procs for video editing. Are they good or should I have to wait for any new series? I have been doing my research about Haswell and many are mentioning they are for mobile not for heavy workloads.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestions..
My work flow in AE:
Leaving apart transitions. I will be adding some effects to the videos. I have recently purchased Trapcode Particular. So trying to use it over few videos (various flower showers). Basically videos are small family events. My initial thought was that everything will come as it is to AE from PPRO and then we can add effects and do a complete export from AE itself.
One more question. The colour corrections we do in PPRO ( Fast colour correction/3 way colour correction/Video effects) will they remain intact when we import the PPRO sequence to AE? Leaving transitions.
Should I have to take any care even for these?Regards

Okay,
Name: Western Digital Model Black Cavier. Here are the new specifications of the currently available models. I have bought in SP Road Bangalore. Got a 500gig one for RS3500 in 2010. Now the prices would have gone up.Model # Interface Form Factor RPM Capacity Cache
WD4001FAEX SATA 6 Gb/s 3.5 Inch 7200 64 MB4 TB 64 MB
WD2002FAEX SATA 6 Gb/s 3.5 Inch 7200 64 MB2 TB 64 MB
WD1002FAEX SATA 6 Gb/s 3.5 Inch 7200 64 MB1 TB 64 MB
WD5002AALX SATA 6 Gb/s 3.5 Inch 7200 32 MB500 GB 32 MB
WD5003AZEX SATA 6 Gb/s 3.5 Inch 7200 64 MB500 GB 64 MBIn India availability of 500gig drives is little diffcult so you may have to go for a 1TB only.
Here is a link for online purchase.

One more thing try to get good amount of RAM. You need to get equal share for all the cores. I have read about that in an article recently.
Eg: If you have 8 core CPU( 4 physical+4 virtual) then you need to get 16 gig so that each core get 2GB. If you try to assign half GB in PPRO/AE preferences it won’t work. In Adobe CS6 memory is automatically allocated for adobe programs depending on the amount of RAM inatlled.

SSD is better than HDD.
I am talking about WD green drives which are intelli powered. Not suitable for video editing. They are just for storage.

January 9, 2013 at 9:41 am in reply to: Looking to setup a PC for Adobe Premiere Pro Work!Just don’t buy those WD intelli powered HDD. I bought one by mistake and didn’t live up to my expectation. I would prefer WD 72K Black Cavier drives. They are bit expensive in India but they are the one’s to go for.
Here is my set up.
i7-930/12GB RAM GSKILL/GA-X58A-UD7 MOBO.
HDD1-WD 72K Black edition-OS and Apps
HDD2-WD 72K Black edition-Media chache/Scratch/Source Footage
HDD3-WD 72K Black edition-All Exports.
HDD4-WD 54K Green Drive-Saving completed projects and misc files/backup etc.Videoguys have a set up with latest processors and that is good.
