I have not. But, I upgraded to Vegas 11 and fresh installed the problem seems to have fixed itself. I’m sorry I don’t have a solution :/. Try a fresh install with no plugins.

Same results. I think my installation of Sony Vegas has just gotten very corrupted somehow. When I load the project (with the same SFK files) on my friends rig that has a fresh install of Vegas, there are no problems. I equate it to the plugins I have, but I use them all, so there’s not much of a way around it. My friends rig also has these plugins, but without the issues. I’m getting a new PC soon, so hopefully this will resolve the issue.

Ahh, that’s much easier, thanks! The problem seems to be reoccurring every time I close and re-open Vegas. I know a lot of it has to do with the improper shutdown mid-render, but I’m hoping this doesn’t cause my project to become completely corrupt, as I’ve already put in close to 20 hours on this.

Wow, duh. Why didn’t I think of that? Haha, thanks!

Gspot reports it as MotionJPEG (which, from my understanding, is a pretty common codec). Link below to screenshot. Though, I did get an strange result from a different file from the same recording session (screenshot also linked below).

As an aside, googling that program wielded some interesting results :P.

    Thanks for the help!

It’s straight from the DSLR. It’s Pentax K-r.

I’m still having this issue, even with DRAM set to 0. This time with footage from my DSLR. The source file is uncompressed AVI at 26MB/s bit rate. i linked an unlisted video with the transition in question. Any help would be awesome!

Setting DRAM to 0 did the trick! And I record with a dazzle through pinnacle studio, and it outputs uncompressed AVI files (35MB/s). It was the same with the DSLR that saves uncompressed AVIs (26MB/s), so I don’t think it was the codec. Do have an idea why this would just start out of no where?

    Thanks again!!

Seems convoluted, but did you try exporting each layer in photoshop and doing it that way? What exactly are you trying to do?
