    Hi.
    I’m using Vegas Pro 9.0e 64bit.

I’m trying to import a PSD (Photoshop document).

It consists of a few layers of text with effects applied in Photoshop.

It appears as it should in the project window of Vegas, and is also fine if I drag it to the timeline as a single track ……….

However, when I open it across the tracks, it splits into its individual layers but I lose all the Photoshop effects and am left with plain white text.

I’ve tried with a different PSD,but still have the same problem.

    Any help will be appreciated!

Seems convoluted, but did you try exporting each layer in photoshop and doing it that way? What exactly are you trying to do?

    Regards,
    Vinny

    Hi George,

I don’t know what exactly your trying to do but, have you tried to flatten the picture or document. You mentioned it having different layers and if you flatten it, it will combine everthing into one then bring it into Vegas. It’s worth a try.

Thanks for the replies, but I found the answer is to make each layer into a “Smart Object” which is only a coupla clicks in photoshop.

I needed to preserve the layers because I’m gradually fading them in to a shot, and I also need to see them together in the same photoshop project.
