    Thanks Pierre,

I did download fx plug 4.5 and 5.

5 still did not show up in my effects tab. 4.5 did and allows me to edit the clip and render. But sadly still no image…. black screen with red wireframe.

    Thanks Brent,

I did research it and what I found out was the sensor in my t2i would be too big, and there may or may not be an adapter readily available….. So I’m passing.

    Thanks for the link!

I bought a HVX200 ntsc and had the same question in reverse. I was told it did not matter so much other than you have 25 and 50fps options. I think there is something about broadcasting digitally that dissolves this problem as well.

A 2005 powerbook costs about 3-400 bucks and some have a p2 card slot. I sold mine but now wish I hadn’t. There is a p2 card reader for 350 buck that goes to USB so you can swap while recording.

Check your internal settings perhaps you can lower it by adjusting picture styles? I know the 7d has that issue and shows much more grain then the 5d. It’ has the same sensor as my 550D and mine has issues but is insanely better than my HVX200.

Just to follow up it was something to do with the iris thingy that flips down. It wasn;t flipping up or activating or something. It cost 700 to fix….

February 10, 2011 at 10:16 pm in reply to: P2 card reader?

Cool thanks for the input. There seems to be a lot of readers around the 50-70 dollar mark, just can;t seem to find one that goes from PCMCIA to USB that is P2 compatible. But your option is certainly an option.

    Thanks

Thanks for the help! So was this done with a combination of AE and FCP? Or all in AE?

    Thanks again!

So when I try to open footage in fcp I am also getting “not found” and error: out of memory now as well. The footage is in fcp.mov format and some files play fine some dont work at all? Cant figure it out. is there a change in the file when I drag files from my laptop to my citidisk and back?
