Are you using a brush?
If so, expand before resizing, or in Preferences enable Scale Strokes & Effects.Vince

If you’ve converted the curve to an angle or simply just have angle points, press Shitf+C or select the Convert Anchor Point Tool within the Pen Tool buttons, then click on the anchor point and drag it to turn it back into a curve.
Conversley, if you have curves and you want them to be corners, you can again use the tool to click on the anchor points.
I hope this is somewhat close to answering your question.

Hard to say where the issue lies.
I took your AI and opened it in PS, then resized it using Bicubic Sharper.3493_3492ydsmtimelinecover.tif.zip

Maybe try adding a key color layer under the main layer of the PNG, before opening it in Illustrator. Like pure RGB green, or any color that is not in the image.
Then delete that color from the expanded trace.Vince

Maybe after you trace, do Object / Expand.
Then click on the white with the direct select tool.
Then Select / Same / Fill Color, and delete.Vince

December 13, 2011 at 12:27 pm in reply to: bezier not appearing with direct selction toolHi Tim,
I’m afraid I don’t know the answer to your question, and I’m curious if you’ve found a solution.
If I don’t know an answer, I’ll let the thread age so that someone who does know will answer the question.Initially I thought it was a Ctrl+U or View / Smart Guides issue, but your indication of the ‘point’ prompt left me curious, but it seems that this is not the issue.
