You can always create a 30P sequence after you highlight the digital SLR preset by going to the general tab and choosing 30P as your frame rate, which is what I would recommend.

I would take the laptop back and compare it to others at the store. It should not have a green tint with viewed at a normal angle.

Make sure the 2 clips are butted together, drag the dissolve transition in between the 2. That should be it.
They have to be on the same track…

Hi Rob,
Monitors lose brightness over time, this was true for CRT, and it is for LCDs, although it is much improved for newer LED displays.
Most graphics cards also have their own brightness adjustment as part of the control panel.
You could start by creating as new Bar and Tone clip in Premiere and calibrating the pluge bar using brightness/contrast.

Just like Apple bought Color, my guess is Adobe would buy a third party plugin instead.
Can’t beat DaVinci in that domain, but the hardware is really what makes the difference, and that’s a bit more than a grand;-)

I find Red Giant’s Colorista quite good, and it rivals color in that it is fully integrated as a plugin.

You will need to match audio channels. If the files were 5.1, you will need to re-export with 5.1 audio. That’s because when the files are in the timeline, Premiere cannot change audio tracks assignment.

Hi Justin,
First and foremost, make sure that “Maximum Quality” is selected. In CS4 you had to go through a little contextual menu on the right side in the export panel. I think I have noticed some improvement in CS5 as well, but it could just be a placebo effect 🙂
