Can someone check this font problem?
I am creating some titles for a CS5 project, using the Premiere Pro titler.
O/S: Win7 home premium
HP Core 2 Quad Q8300 processor
Font: Lucinda Sans Demibold Italic
Character size: 150 (although a smaller font size doesn’t help)
Graphic Card: ATI Radeon HD 4350 (stock card for the PC when bought at Costco)I have a persons name that includes the letters: “lakh”
I can’t get the titler to print the lowercase “k.” It’s leaving the proper space for the k, but it display’s like an “l” with a space after it. IOW, it’s leaving off the right arm and leg of the “k.”:
The issue only occurs with italcized text. Straight text works okay.
If I use Paintshop Pro on the same machine, that title tool can create the character in the same color, font and size, so I’m guessing the issue is with Premiere Pro.
Can anyone out there get a lowercase “k” using this font?
I can come up with a workaround, but I’m just curious if this is a bug in CS5 or just a weirdness in my edit system (whatever that might mean).
