What OS are you editing on? CS6 hasn’t been updated for any OS past Win 7 or Mountain Lion, a newer OS will cause random issues like that.
Another thing to watch for is RAM usage.

Hi Kerry,
Nothing is random about this audio, and you will need to experiment with different sound bites and different cuts until it sounds go to you.
You’ll notice that the last part of each cut segment includes the end of a word.

Is the preview going through a separate card? If anything, you would render the mp3 to wav, but definitely not wmv (maybe that’s what you meant)
Also, it really depends on the format of the video file. If this something that was compressed by someone else, that could be your issue.
If you have a newer version of Premiere, you can try a render and replace to a more common format like Prores 422.

Hi Michael,
Double check that your version is compatible with the current OS and Video card (under FAQs at their website).
Some new cards are causing issues.We also always convert all the files to Prores, we just carry a machine and have a watch folder setup under Adobe Media Encoder. Drag and drop, easy enough.
It seems PBP has some issues with certain VBR H.264

You final export should definitely be H.264, but you’re talking about exporting for further editing at this point right?
That format should be close to uncompressed to maintain quality. Prores is a great intermediate codec for that.

Hi Zac,
I didn’t notice obvious stutter. It could just be the player. I’m not sure if Vimeo converts VBR to CBR, but VBR tends to be more choppy because of the extra processing required.
Basically, if the stutter always happens at the exact same place, it could be your encode. Otherwise, welcome to browser video playback.

Hi John,
You can mix and match any formats in the timeline. I’ll add that if you are just converting to edit, H.264 is not a recommended format, it’s heavily compressed and hard on the processors. A better export would be Quicktime>Prores 422

Sorry, I misread. There’s a preset in Premiere for GoPro Fisheye.
