Check your sequence settings and see if it’s set to upper fields first, if so change to progressive and see if that solves your issue.

Hi Lloyd,
I’m pretty sure that’s just that the XDCAM and XAVC standard format have 8 tracks. I doesn’t mean that you can use them in the camera, but I don’t think there’s a way to turn them off.
It’s easy enough to select all clips in Premiere and deselect those extra channels in the project panel.

Hi Rick,
A Triplehead is the way to go (or multiple video cards). Yes you can undock the preview panel and stretch across multiple monitors. You can also get ultra thin bezel monitors if the budget is there.

Hi Frank,
ProRes is actually a preferred format for PBP, I usually stay away from H.264 whenever possible.
Just make sure the machine can handle the processing, and that the drives can handle the data rate, most likely a RAID 0/5.
As for the person telling you to keep the file under a certain size, they have likely never dealt with 5K.
With ProRes, you might be looking at 10 Gigs+ depending on the frame rate.

If you created the files in AE, then that might cause a loss of resolution, I would give it a shot and see how they look.

If that happens again, you can always interpret the footage is Premiere and set it to progressive.

In AE, in your render queue window, click on render settings and under time sampling, make sure that field render is off.
