If you’re working in 4k, I would recommend a new MacPro, but you could give the iMac 5K a try. Premiere does make good use of all cards these days through openCL (CC 2014 and above). CUDA is still better, especially if you look at render times.

How much RAM do you have available? Disk space?
Try importing your sequence into another project.
Another way around this would be to render in 2 or 3 parts to a good quality format like Prores and see if that works, then reassemble in a new sequence/project.

That person should absolutely have kept the raw footage, but if they didn’t.
I’m guessing you’re on Windows. FCP re-encodes to Prores, which is likely not installed on your machine.
Try this first, close Premiere, download/install Quicktime, then try to open the footage in Quicktime, if it needs Prores, it should guide to downloading it. Reopen Premiere and you should now be able to import the footage.
Apple used to have a download page for the codec, but I can no longer find it.

Your best bet is to check your task manager to see where the bottleneck is.
It is likely is the CPU, but it could also be the GFX card. If you only have one or 2 clips on the timeline, I doubt the SSDs aren’t keeping up.
The latest version of Premiere also allows you to easily transcode for proxy editing, so I would try that first.

You’re probably not going to find anything cheaper, although HDMI means you have to convert everything to SDI for anything over 30′. Another option is the ATEM switcher.

As long as you don’t want any tracking it could be as simple as making a bunch of Powerpoint or Keynote slides, you can easily add pop animations. You’ll definitely need a switcher / operator and keying capability.

That camera has SDI out, I would definitely look at that option first, even if that means converting on the other end back to HDMI or DVI. Sure, you can bring audio into multiple cameras. Switching should have not effects on audio.

Hi Johnny,
You didn’t list the camera, but in most cases, yes, you can get a live feed through HDMI while recording. You might have to turn off display settings to get a clean feed. Now for the caveats. HDMI can’t easily be secured, I would make sure you have a nice loop to secure that cable somewhere on the camera. On the distance, after 50 feet, even the best cooper cable won’t guarantee a 1080P 30. signal. Your options are HDMI fiber or HDMI to SDI for distance up to 400 feet before reclocking.
