I had a similar issue on a project and after spending over an hour on the phone with Adobe technical support the problem seemed to be that my project file was corrupted. At some point earlier in the project Premiere Pro CS3 crashed and was reopened in a recovery project. Before contacting Adobe support, I uninstalled and reinstalled Production Premium along with trying a few other things. While on the phone with Adobe, several things were tried with the project file, but to no avail.I was so glad when the project was finished, because every time I closed and reopen the project several of the effect, titles and dissolves had to be reset. I did find that I could click on the clip and just click on the setting to bring the clip back to how the setting should have been but still had to rerender. When I completed the project and tried to save as a trimmed project, I kept getting an error message.

All of the overides were at “not set” and the user operations were set to allow “all”.
I may have figured out the problem with the help of your book Adobe Encore DVD 2.0. So, thanks for putting out such a helpful book.

I had been saving the project to a DVD folder as I have done in the past with Encore 1.5 to be able to enhance the project with eDVD 4. But, apparently there is an issue using this method which I know can have playback problems by burning the folder straight to a disc.

So, when I burned the project directly to a disc the chapter markers work as they are suppose to. Thanks again for you help.

I originally tried the DVD without end actions for the chapter markers. Adobe Technical support suggested I put them in, but it made no difference. I also reverted the timelines back to avi and re-transcoded to see if that would work but it did not. Vicki

I have gone through the steps to calibrate my monitor. I don’t have a television hooked to my computer as an external monitor. Can you tell me how I would set that up? I do have a jack on the back of my computer that looks like a cable TV jack. Do I connect a coaxial cable from that to where cable would hook into my television? I called Sony awhile ago to see if they could help me hook up my television since I have Windows Media Edition, but the technician was not sure. I would like to see the footage on both my monitor and television if possible. If I recall correctly, don’t I need to change a setting in Premiere Pro 1.5 to watch on an external monitor?
Once I get an external monitor set up, then do I make color adjustments within Premiere Pro based on the external monitor? I would rather have an NTSC monitor, but not in the budget 🙂 Thank you very much, Vicki
